| Within a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) application, natural gas is compressed to 3000 to 3600 PSIG pressures, stored in high pressure storage cylinders, and used as an alternative gasoline fuel for vehicles. Compressors are installed at CNG filling stations where natural gas from the pipeline is compressed and stored in high pressure storage cylinders. CNG vehicles fueled with CNG generate fewer exhaust and greenhouse gas emissions than their gasoline or diesel-powered counterparts. |
